Talk in twisted tongues

Sir, tell me of your travels

Your voice is sweetness

Headlights in darkness

Raccoon eyes on windy roads

Raindrop painted glass

Eyelids full of rest

Slowly slipping from my words

Stay awake for me

Florescent raindrops

Dancing within your pupils

Never look away

Gone is bitter cold

Light radiates off your skin

Can you feel the sun?

We still have some time

But then it has to set, quiet

Stand tall until then

My feet start to ache

My eyelids are hanging low

All in a days work

A train car gone quiet

Voices muted by long days

They’ll wake with the morn

These days overlap

We know that it cannot be

Is this forever?

Can you see the lines?

The ones that border my eyes

Its because I smile
